The Golf Course

"A course not to be missed"

Sitting atop the Cefnpennar Mountain, Mountain Ash Golf Club, which celebrated its Centenary in 2008, has been described as the Jewel of the Valleys. The course, which is always in excellent condition, offers unique views and a unique golfing experience. You can cast appreciative glances at the Brecon Beacons all the way to the north and look down on incredible views of the Cynon Valley but never forget about the task in hand. At well under 6000 yards Mountain Ash is a short course but one which requires care, thought and precision, and presents a real challenge for golfers of all abilities. Given the mountain location it is not unusual to find the weather - benevolent or malevolent - playing some role in your scoring for the day.
Significant thought and skill are required if the heath land course is to be beaten.
The welcome is always warm, the clubhouse inviting and the hospitality excellent. However, the real beauty of Mountain Ash lies in its location and setting. The mountains of the South Wales Valleys and Brecon Beacons provide a spectacular panorama and it's remoteness allows you to forget about the pace of modern life for a few hours. There is no doubt that Mountain Ash is a place of great beauty and tranquility and a golfing experience not to be missed.
